Hispanic Ministry

Responding to its biblical and Reformed understanding of hospitality and the continued growth of the immigrant community, WJ Presbytery started the Hispanic Lay Leadership Program (HILLP) lead Hispanic Consultant, Rev. Sandra Luciano-Andújar. Leaders interested in starting new worshiping communities and helping existing Hispanic ministry are trained in Scriptures, theology, Bible, amongst other topics. Reverend Sandra and Anglo congregations have started conversations about doing one-time missional projects or joint ministry while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the Hispanic constituents of their community.  Churches are offering lectures and dialogues on immigration issues, working together on bilingual VBS, and providing human resources and financial support to the Camden Hispanic Fellowship and other mission projects. Your invited to get involved in presbytery’s missional efforts with the Hispanic brothers and sisters who are neighbors of our congregations.
